If your child is aged 11+ then they may require an adult bike. Adult bikes have bigger frames rather than wheels sizes. When this is the case you are best choosing a bike of a certain frame size to match the height of your child rather than the age they are. This gender of the child also determines the correct size. Adult bikes generally have a wheel diameter of 26 inches regardless of what height you are. It is the size of the bikes frame you need to look at when choosing a bike to suit you best.
